Are You Brave Enough To See Your Business Honestly?

Are You Brave Enough To See Your Business Honestly?

Today,I want you to do something a little uncomfortable:

I want you to score your business (if you’re brave enough) on a scale from 1-10, 1 being a total newbie business owner, and 10 being a multi-million dollar, totally-killing-it-influencer.

So for example, if you’re a 3, you might have a business going with a few clients, but right now you don’t have funnels or systems in place.

A 5 might be a business with one funnel and one product who’s doing fairly well, but isn’t doing a lot of self promotion.

A 7 might be a business that makes great, consistent money, but has you working way too hard because your systems aren’t quite there.

I encourage you to do this because really? There’s no shame in any game. Every single one of us started at zero, and it’s important to know where you’re at with the basics.

Becoming A Successful And Profitable Entrepreneur

Becoming A Successful And Profitable Entrepreneur

If you really compared it side by side, entrepreneurs have it so much harder than people who work a 9-5 job.

Yet hundreds of thousands of people (with full time day jobs) around the world are dreaming of the day when they can quit their day job and create their own business.

Why?

Because they want freedom.

They want autonomy.

They want to create a legacy for themselves and their families.

Well, the road to freedom, autonomy, and legacy is an inconvenient path. You’re going to face obstacles, roadblocks, haters, and confusion. You’re going to put your heart and soul out there and hear crickets instead of applause.

You’re going to feel fear, and anger, and guilt, and unworthiness. And you’re going to have to deal with all types of confrontations and inconveniences. This is so much harder than a 9-5 job, but we do it because we want to be the leader, the helper, and the solver-of-problems for our industry.

The One Thing I Hate Doing Every Day (but has made me wealthy + happy more than anything else)

The One Thing I Hate Doing Every Day (but has made me wealthy + happy more than anything else)

Happy Holidays!

The past couple of weeks have been a whirlwind of traveling, speaking on stages, and now Momentum ‘18, which I know many of you are playing!

As I sat down to write this blog, I started to think about all of the topics I could teach you.

In my 18+ years in this industry, I’ve learned a lot. And if there’s one thing you all know about me, it’s that I like to give away my best stuff for free. (What can I say? I take after my grandmother in my Jenerosity.)

So I made a quick list of all the things I could possibly teach (hint: this is a #protip you can use yourself when you’re creating your own blog content).

The topics on my list included: marketing, branding, sales, operations, how to lead a team, how to hire a team, how much money you can expect to make in year one, what digital marketing looks like, how to create sales funnels, leadership must-haves…and the list goes on.

While I actually plan to teach on all of this and more in 2018, I wanted to hone in on a daily ritual that has now changed everything for me.

Here’s Why It’s Okay to be a Vulnerable Entrepreneur

Today, I want to ask you an important question. How are you? Okay, maybe I should rephrase that: How are you when the going gets tough? The reason why I’m asking you this question is because it’s very easy to say things are doing well when, well, everything’s going great. Maybe you were able to […]

How I Defined my Brand Language using Brand Archetypes

What does your brand language sound like? Is it funny? How about informal? Maybe you use a no-nonsense kind of approach? Whatever it is, the way you choose your words when you post on the ‘gram or when you’re running a Facebook ad can tell a visitor what kind of person you are and if […]

Stop Keeping Your Gifts Quiet (aka How To Build Your Brand)

Stop Keeping Your Gifts Quiet (aka How To Build Your Brand)

It’s kind of amazing how resistant and resilient humans can be.

If you’re a Master Brander, a Launch Leader, a Notorious B-I-Z, I just want to acknowledge you big time. Because going that deep with your brand takes courage. You’re sharing your brand story with a bunch of strangers, and to those of you that are really standing on the edge of your courage and posting on your business page, your private page, on Twitter, or anywhere public, let me just tell you, you are doing the things that the greats do right now.
