The Most Inspirational Component of Your Business (hint: it may not be what you think)

No matter what you’ve seen or heard in the market, there’s no such thing as “a perfect life”. There’s no such thing as complete and 100% epicness, and there’s no such thing as success without failure.

In fact, successful people know that you have to fail a number of times. Because with every breakdown, a breakthrough is on the other side if you’re willing to see it, stay in movement, and stay in action.

See friend, you may not realize it, but your story inspires people. People want to see your humanity. They want to see that you’re a real person not a robot. That you’re somebody who’s been through challenges, picked yourself up from them, and can now speak from experience. When you talk about those tough, dark moments (or deep positive experiences – they don’t always have to be negative) it’s your opportunity to truly connect with your audience and attract those who need you the most.

The reason your story is so essential, is because it’s the building blocks of your speaking, your writing, your marketing, all of it. So start by categorizing your stories. Then, map them to specific teachable moments you can share with your audience. If you offer a product or  service (even if it’s in a brick and mortar business), connect your product or service to a story that’s not just about you, but involves your audience as well.

For example, if you’re giving your audience 8 Steps to Facebook Marketing, you’ll want to also drop some stories about your business and your life that is relevant to the content you’re teaching. When did you learn these lessons? What drew you to them? How did affect you and your brand? When you tie your content to your story, it strengthens the impact of how it lands on your potential customers.

How do you share your story in your business? I’d love to hear about in the Paid To Be You Posse Facebook group. If you haven’t joined the 5,000+ entrepreneurs who want to get seen, get heard, and get paid, come on over! Be sure to introduce yourself and share with us your Brand Story.
