Weekly-ish Wisdom from Jennifer Kem

The Blog

what’s getting in your way of getting stuff done?

As a mom-on-the go, a business owner and an all-around busy lady, life can get, well…kind of hectic, tiring and downright distracting.

Just because I have a rep for getting stuff done, the truth is I struggle with balancing the things that tempt me on the daily.

In this week’s Biz Tip on the Real, you’ll see me describe an actual, for real scenario that happened to me that almost prevented me from even getting this message out to you.  It involves ice cream, shoes and sleepy-time.

Watch it here:

The most important part of the message:  that I got it done, even though I let a lot of stuff get in the way.

The point that will help you and your business:  there is a lesson in everything you do or don’t do.  Maximize it.  Don’t let fear (get this:  procrastination can be a form of fear) stop you from putting yourself out there.

Most importantly, don’t beat yourself up if you let stuff get in your way on any given day.  Focus on getting it done at your next decision point.  Forgive yourself and move on to finishing the job.

This is the last week of 2011 (wow).  Wishing you a fun, fabu NYE.

See you next year.

(I’m so excited about what’s in store for 2012.  Come with.)

Have you had a day like the one in the vid?  Do you have any tips to share with the tribe on how you crush procrastination?  Share. Share. Share.
